• I have a very large .tar file in the upload wp-content folder it is 2.81 GB so I downloaded it to my desk top and opened it and it was my complete content backedup from server. I’m on a Mac and running wp3.6.1 and the Gleam Theam 2.4 the large file in question is labeled snapshot-20130912-159.tar
After I took it out my site wouldn’t launch and I couldn’t get into Admin area. I put the large file back in exactly where it came from and site still wouldn’t launch. I call my service provider Godaddy and one guy said it could be my plugins so he disable all plugins and then I could get back into Admin area but still the site wouldn’t launch. I tried Safari and Chrome with no luck. Please help. http://www.1jimage.com
So Godaddy rolled back all my files to Tuesday right before the problem started and site launches. How do I edit this large file without breaking my theme? How do I know which plugins are compatible with my version of wordpress and my version of Gleam Theam? Author not reesponding

  • Hi

The usual method of troubleshooting would be to revert to a default theme, and disable your plugins.

Pay particular attention to any plugins that might claim to be “backup” type plugins, I expect, and, if you do not trust your theme, and the author does not respond, stop using it.
