Takes a lot of heat but provides important functionality

A lot of folks poke fun at Jetpack over the codebase size and number of modules it contains, but we build support for Jetpack into our themes to allow people to take advantage of features like Infinite Scroll, Featured Content, and Photon as a CDN. Jetpack does a great job of only loading the CSS and Javascript needed for the currently active modules.

In addition, the team is hard at work optimizing everything for absolute fastest load times, which is greatly appreciated. If you load other social sharing plugins and other features separately, you can be guaranteed that your page load times will be much worse than using all these features within Jetpack itself.
