• The plugin has added a mandatory checkbox to my checkout.

I have wondered why nobody is buying anymore. The reason was, because nobody wanted to get forced into my newsletter.

Even with all plugins deactivated, the checkbox was still mandatory.

Take care if you install a Brevo plugin.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about the issue you experienced with the checkout process.

I wanted to clarify that the Brevo plugin does not force the opt-in checkbox by default. There is a setting in the plugin configuration that allows you to enable or disable the newsletter opt-in on the checkout page. If the option is enabled, the checkbox will appear, but you can easily disable it at any time from your plugin settings. Uninstalling the plugin also removes the checkbox entirely.

It’s also possible that your checkout page is being managed by another plugin or theme that might be overriding the expected behavior. We’d be happy to take a closer look if you can share more details about your setup.

Thanks again for your feedback — we’re always looking to improve.

    Best regards,

    Alexis

Yes, Brevo is forcing the checkbox.

If you read my comment, you would see that I had all other plugins deinstalled.

It is just a crappy plugin.

    Hi @gmmedia and @deepblue5

I’d like to follow up on this post to let you know that the issue has now been resolved.

This issue was actually fixed a few months ago — Customers can now complete their order without needing to check the newsletter opt-in box at checkout.

We really appreciate your feedback, as it helped us improve the plugin.

    Best regards,

    Alexis

I don’t care. I have removed the Brevo plugins to save my websites and sales.

No, nothing got fixed. I just got a new customer with similar problems.

Hello There, please make sure, that you have installed the newest version of the plugin.
We would also advise clearing your website’s cache.
Check the setting of the plugin, and make sure the checkbox disabled:
