Support » Plugin: Tailor Page Builder » Tailor PHP errors in log

  • Hi,

I like Tailor Page Builder, but when I try to use it I get these PHP errors in my log:

    PHP Notice: Undefined variable: instance
    in /htdocs/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-pages.php on line 128
[16-Dec-2016 16:02:33 UTC] PHP Warning: Missing argument 1 for WP_Widget_Pages::form(), called
in /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/tailor/includes/controls/class-widget-form.php on line 54 and defined
    in /srv/www/zlatarna-dosen/htdocs/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-pages.php on line 126
[16-Dec-2016 16:01:43 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: instance
    in /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/tailor/includes/controls/class-widget-form.php on line 54

I use Varying Vagrant Vagrants and this is my current WordPress test setup:
    WordPress 4.7 + Twenty Sixteen

    Debug Bar
    Debug Bar Extender
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    Tailor – Advanced features
    Theme Check

    Thanks for this, Jurica.

WordPress widgets are a little difficult to work with given the way that they are structured, but I am confident that we can eliminate these notices and warnings. Are you seeing these all the time, or only on specific pages/when certain widgets are present? Widget elements are created dynamically so neither would surprise me much.

I see these errors all the time when I enable this option in Tailor settings page: “Enable WordPress and third-party widgets?”

If I disable it, there are no errors showing in the log.

Thank you for taking the time to fix this and for this great plugin!

    Hi Jurica,

Apologies for the delay in responding.

I’ve created a fix for this which is part of the latest release of Tailor (1.7.8). When you get a chance, please let me know whether it also fixes the notice that you’re receiving.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes, this release fixes error notices I’ve been receiving.
Thank you for your support and this great plugin!
