  • How (and where) do I add the following meta tag/keywords to my WP-based site?

    <head>
    <title>SafeTed Internet Safety</title>
    <meta name=”description” content=”A website all about Internet safety. This ‘Net safety information is geared for teens and other kids.”>
    <meta name=”keywords” content=”internet, safety, safe, danger, kids, teens, predators, bullying, intellectual property, cyber, security, computer, virus, spyware, identity theft, education, chat, blog “>
    </head>

    Login to your admin interface and go to Presentation/Theme Editor. From there, select your theme’s Header Template. Towards the top, you will notice a <head> tag. Below that is a <title> tag with some PHP code before it closes with a </title> tag. This small string of PHP code calls your blog’s title and places it in between these tags. So, if your blog’s title is “SafeTed Internet Safety”, then you don’t have to change anything. The <meta> tags may be added below this and before the </head> tag.

    Don’t forget to properly close the meta tags with “/>”
