  • I got this error when I activated plugin
“Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_SL in /home/efriend/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/Cat2Tag.php on line 180”

Replace your plugin file, it’s updated.

I am using php 4.3.9 and update the latest plugin I get a lot of error messages.

I guess I know what it is, probably is the format or something.

    I updated it again.

Something is not working right on my install of cat2tag. The ‘tags’ I put in the tag box at the bottom of the message are just ignored.

No one on the author’s website seems to be having this problem, so am wondering if I have a conflict with another plugin?

I’m having the same problem as gpaulson — it looks like the tags only get stored when you click Publish, and at all other times “strange things” happen:

    – it created a “notag” category (that’s not what I typed into the box)

    – it created multiple entries in the post2cat table for the same category and post, but it has trouble deleting them (I guess at least partially due to the LIMIT 1 safeguard in the SQL DELETE statement)

    – editing a post removes all but one category from it (I haven’t tested this extensively yet — I need to setup a separate test install for this)

Not to step on the developers toes, but you might want to check out Jerome’s Keywords plugin. Sounds like it does similar things, works well with technorati tags, and you can use the plugin to create meta tags in your header.
