    When we only have text in our Text to Receive message for admins, the text arrives perfectly. But when I add your tags as follows:

     [your-name][your-email][your-subject][your-message]

    …then no text is received.

    If I use any of the tags the text does not work. That defeats our entire purpose of using this, so if you can assist that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, would like to find out if you have checked the SMS History tab for the status and content of the SMS that wasn’t sent/delivered.

    This one was received (note that I replaced the 10 digit phone number with # signs in this ticket, but not in what was in the Text To Receive ( From Form , Your SMS setting):

    3twilio##########A form submission has been sent. testsent

    This one was not received:

    1twilio##########A form submission has been sent. Kennytest@test.comTesting TextingDid you get this?sent

    The one that was received did not use the tags. Here’s what is in the Your Response Message: section of the Contact Form 7 form:

    A form submission has been sent.

    test

    When I change this to add [your-name][your-email][your-subject][your-message], the text is not received at the same number.

    Confirmed again. Same result. Text is received when no tags are used. Text is not received when tags are used, but e-mail is received.

    okay. Just to confirm. From the SMS history tab, the status of the SMS is “sent” but you did not receive the message (That is for the SMS containing tags).


    Please can you check Twillio SMS logs? https://console.twilio.com/us1/monitor/logs/sms

    Thanks once more for your patience. Sorry, it is taking too long to resolve your issue. I have not been able to reproduce it. But I will do my best to resolve it as soon as possible

    OK, I looked in there and it showed messages that weren’t received. I went in to look at the details of those and it wanted us to verify the phone number they supplied and add some details about an emergency system. After I did that, my subsequent tests worked.

    I don’t know why the texts without tags would have worked and the texts using tags wouldn’t work under those conditions. That seems highly weird to me. But setting that up worked, so we’re OK for now.

    Now that I see it working, I’ll have another support ticket to file with you regarding some additional desired functionality. Thanks a bunch for the assistance on this one even if I have no idea why these settings would break things in the way they did.
