Tags Management

    Hi,

    I’m using WP as PIM. I classify all my personal data into different categories, e.g. Photo, Music, Movie…. Posts in different category have different tags group, e.g. in Photo, maybe one post has “2008”, “family”, but some of these tags won’t be used on the posts in Music category. So is there any way to divide all tags into different categories?

    Hi MichaelH,

    This is exactly what I need, thank you so much! But the problem is I can’t use WP Cumulus then. Since the new things in new taxonomy are not tags, I can’t use any lovely tag cloud widgets, what I get is only a drop-down menu in my sidebar.

    I guess this is the best solution so far, and I think this function is really helpful to some usage, will WP adopt this functions?

    Don’t know if will be adopted in core, but efforts are being made to make it easier for user and developers to add their own taxonomies.
