    Depending on your comfort levels, you can either add a line to your theme’s style.css, or hunt down and adjust the php file that generates the tag display.
    The css would be:
    .product_meta span.tagged_as {display:none;}
    This only removes the tags from what the browser renders so they should still be searchable.
