    I tried to use wp core function to get the tags and author of my CPT post in the post single page but its not working, any ideas?

    Are you able to provide any of the code tried, as is?

    Also just in case it’s playing a part, are we sure we’re editing the right template files?

    CPTUI isn’t going to prevent these things from working as a whole, or have settings needed to enable, so something else isn’t quite working yet.
