• I’m using a static homepage on my website. Before the intended content starts (‘Welcome!’), somehow the website’s tagline (‘Administrative business support and advice’) is displayed.

The tagline is ALSO where I want it to be (right under the title), but there’s absolutely no need to repeat is here. It looks unprofessional.

Any idea how I can get rid of it?

I have the Lifestyle theme installed (child of Omega).

  • Hi spotlight38,

it seems what you see as “Administrative business support and advice” above the Welcome! heading on your site is the alt text of the header image.

That means you either need to properly upload the header image so that it’s being displayed correctly or delete the header image within your WordPress dashboard so that the alt text disappears as well.

Thank you MH Themes. I didn’t set a header image or enter an alt text, but you still seem to have a good point. There’s a Home Banner widget (‘This widget area will replace the homepage header image’) which I can’t get rid of. But if I place an empty text widget in that area, the text ‘Administrative business support and advice’ disappears.

The only downside to that is that my homepage content is pushed a tiny bit down, but I can live with that.
