    Hi tamirbm,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

Can you tell me a bit more?
    – What version of WP are you running here?
    – What exact version of BD? (number, please)

For search issues, usually it’s best to understand how you did it. Can you tell me:
    – What you searched for? (Screenshot of the form just before you search is really the best way)
    – What you got back? (Again, a screenshot is best)
    – What did you not see that you expected to see? (Links to specific listings are helpful here)
    – Did you perform this search on the search widget, the Quick Search field, or the advanced search screen?

Knowing that will help us pin the issue down better.

    Hi,
I’m using WP Ver. 4.8, and BD Ver. 4.1.13.2.

ive added a tag named swivel to one of the listing and then searched for the word in the first & regular search not advanced, i’ve clicked on the find listing and it replied no listing found.

ive expected to see the listings taged with “swivel” tag.
    http://mecheng.co.il/suppliersindex/ i’ve searched here.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi @tamirbm,

Since you’re using the Quick Search, what fields do you have it set to search under Directory Admin->Manage Options, General tab?

You must have the “Tag” field selected under the Quick Search options for BD to use that in the query. That could be why it’s missing your listing when you try to search.

If that’s not right, then I need the answers to my remaining questions (link to a listing it should match, etc)

Try that and let me know if you run into more issues.

    Hi,

how can i add all the tags ive added or tag page to that list?
i dont have the “tag” in the list only the form fields ive added…

Regarding your remaining question, reference to “a link to a listing it should match”-when you search roda you get the manufacturer roda s.a , ive tagged the word “Swivel” to that listing company but when i search that tag it doesnt show.

    Hi @tamirbm,

Can you show me a screenshot of your search right before you click submit?

You can use something like http://imageshack.us if you need to. I really need to see what you’re using so I can compare with what you have on the link above.

    Please let me know.

    Hi,
    I’ve added two search screenshots,

    Hi @tamirbm,

OK–so you’re using the Quick Search field at the top of the directory–do you have a Tag field setup for your listings?

If so, can you please show me a screenshot of that on the Manage Form Fields screen under Directory Admin?

Second, is that field included in the Quick Search field list to be searched? You can find that under Directory Admin->Manage Options, General tab. Another screenshot would help.

    Please let me know.

    Hi,
ive only asked one simple question.

any listing you add there is a place at the bottom that says add tags to that listing.

why are these tags there if it wouldnt be for quick search or any kind of search.

if after i put the tags in that ‘tag listing bar’ its not enough for this plugin…then? where is the manual ??
i really need a finite and fast answer.

right now im a free account user im checking this plugin if it suite my need but im willing to buy your product.

i’ve only asked this simple question and its been 3 days of messages.
let me know where is the data so i can get real and fast answers or even a skype number so i can call you…
pls understand this answering method is really long and frustrating.

Thanks again , hope youll understand.

    Hi @tamirbm,

I’m sorry that this process has been frustrating. I understand you want a quick answer, but my questions are specifically designed to understand the problem. Until I do that, I can’t give you the “finite and fast answer” you’re looking for. We provide free support on the forums and generally we answer within 24 hours. We’re a small team so we don’t have the resources to provide phone support. A little longer on the weekends.

    Plus we have a support forum ( http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum ), a great set of documentation ( http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/docs ), a Quick Start Guide ( http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide ), and video tutorials ( http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/video-tutorials ) to help you out for free.

In my last response, I asked these questions:

OK–so you’re using the Quick Search field at the top of the directory–do you have a Tag field setup for your listings?

If so, can you please show me a screenshot of that on the Manage Form Fields screen under Directory Admin?

Second, is that field included in the Quick Search field list to be searched? You can find that under Directory Admin->Manage Options, General tab. Another screenshot would help.

We have documentation on configuring the Quick Search aspect of the plugin, which you are using here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/docs/#options-general

I need to know these answers in order to help you.

    Please let me know.
