I am quite new to WordPress and this plugin has helped a lot. * I however need some help / clarification. I have enabled Analytics and found it useful. * Later I had once enabled Tag Manager by mistake, then I found it was of no use to me then I disabled it. * However, when I check my site on Google Pagespeed Insights, it shows that my site still loads Tag Manager and the Lighthouse Treemap – which is another new thing to me, shows that [Tag Manager script is the biggest contributor of my site](https://i.imgur.com/uS2H4uD.png) slowing up. * I want a clarification and help. Why the Tag Manager script is loading when I have disabled it. Is the Tag Manager script part of Google Analytics. Why Google Analytics script is loading too along with Tag Manager script. Is there anyway to stop Tag Manager script from loading or slowing up the site without affecting Google Analytics. * I am a novice in all this. As Site Kit has placed your Analytics snippet this can easily be confused as a Tag Manager snippet, as it uses a gtag placement [as seen in this screenshot](https://snippyly.com/discuss/?q=zVl2cLLPxLEoXRN9xQ2t) from your sites source code. * I’ve also checked your site using [tagassistant.google.com](https://tagassistant.google.com/) and I can confirm there is no Google Tag Manager snippet. * > I want a clarification and help. That’s what I wanted to know. So thanks for clarifying. * I know it’s not part of your work. But can I request two things. These two you can look into or forward it to the respective Google representatives specialised in it. * First is, can the Google Analytics load the script from its own links rather than Tag Manager. If not then somehow redirect the script to appear as coming from Analytics. This would prevent any confusion. * Second is, why are the Tag Manager scripts so heavy. I know Lighthouse Treemap shows only some parts of the scripts are loaded. But even then, it feels too heavy. As per Google’s own Speed rankings it is too heavy. What can one even do to fix that. Is there no way to reduce the size of the scripts. Like, if we have no use for Goals in Analytics then allow us to disable that part in the script from being loaded. * I know all this is not part of this plugin. As Google Analytics is commonly added via a Google Tag Manager tag this may be one of the reasons. I’ll certainly pass on your feedback to my own lead. I know Lighthouse Treemap > shows only some parts of the scripts are loaded. * When using any JavaScript library, including the Google Analytics or other Google scripts it’s normal that not all lines of each JavaScript file will be executed at the time of a resource usage check. In such cases it’s normal to see such notices within Lighthouse or other performance checks. As the content on your website is mainly text and images you may have a site suitable for [AMP](https://amp-wp.org), which restricts custom JavaScript and can help boost performance, including the usage of amp-analytics. I am of view that Analytics should allow disabling individual parts of tracking – if not done already. This would reduce tracking and resource usage. * About AMP, I was told it affects ad revenue – maybe not. * Just one more question. If I apply for Adsense. How long might it take for approval. What are the requirements for its approval. Like do I need to have certain number of visitors for approval. Do I need things like site owner / author information and a good privacy policy for approval. As far as I’m aware account and site approvals are manually processed so there may be busy periods. * In terms of the requirements I don’t think it’s necessary to submit author information, while I’m unsure on the privacy policy aspect.
