  • Is there any way to have the tag cloud consider only the last N postings?

    Since upgrading to 2.3, I like the new tag cloud feature including having larger tags for more popular items. However, what would be nice for a chronological blog is to have the most recent postings/comments have a greater weight or perhaps more simply consider only the most recent postings/comments.

  • You can only control the number of tags displayed as well as the minimum/maximum size for the tags.

    Template Tag, wp_tag_cloud()

    I would second this request. It would be really great to be able to get a tag cloud for the most recent N requests, or for a specific date range. Ultimate Tag Warrior (doesn’t work with wp 2.3) I believe used to be able to do this for archive pages using the loop’s date range for example.

    This would be great! My blog’s been running for a long time, so some of the more common tags are actually rather out of date. It’d be nice to be able to show a tag cloud for the last year, or last 100 posts, or some variant rather than The Definitive Tag Cloud For All Time. Limiting to say 100 tags isn’t useful in my case, because most of those will be things I wrote about years ago, rather than what’s going on currently…
