Hi,
thanks for your post. I’m not really sure if I understand the problem that you are describing, so if you could post a link to the page with the table, that would be good.
For instructions on how to remove the CSV and Excel buttons, please follow my instructions in my reply in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-download-as-csv-and-other-buttons-from-tablepress-tools-display

Tobias
What I am talking about is the text tooltip that pops up when you hover the mouse of the icons. Right now I only get a tooltip when I hover over the printer icon.

OK have the sToolTip and was able to follow the other directions to remove the buttons I desired. Now one last question of the extension.
The cells of my table use
‘5⁄8”‘
to produces fractions. In the exported PDF they show as ?. This may not be the place for it, but is there a way around this?
Hi,
good to hear that you found the necessary properties to change 🙂
About the remaining question: Unfortunately, I can’t help with that, as I have no clue how the PDF generation works internally. I recommend to ask the DataTables TableTools developer about this, in the forums at http://www.datatables.net
Best wishes,
Tobias
Small follow up if I may ask it here. Is there a way I am overlooking to have a title for a table show above the header as part of the table?
Hi,
sure, just check the “Print Table Name” checkbox in the options below the table edit fields on the “Edit” screen of the table.

Tobias
any reason I don’t see that option?
never mind, for some reason the table options menu was closed. Thanks
again for all the GREAT help
is it possible my theme is preventing the title from showing. I have a title and description in tablepress preview mode but not on the page
Hi,
good question. That shouldn’t happen. Are you maybe using a caching plugin that still has an old version of the page? And did you double-check that you were editing the correct table?
Regards,
Tobias
OK I either need sleep or a nice German beverage! I have 2 versions of the same table and you are correct. I had edited the wrong table. It’s great to have a second pair of “eyes” sometimes.
Thanks Tobias!
Hi,
ah, that explains it 🙂 Good to hear that it works now. And enjoy that beverage 😉
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
