Support » Plugin: Elementor Page Builder » Tablet Display Issues

  • Greetings – with a recent update to the plugin I noticed that you altered the media query break points. This has caused rather a major display issue and I’m looking for some advise on how it’s possible to continue to use Elementor when developing for tablets.

Currently the editor only allows 3 views/break points which are desktop, tablet (768px) and mobile (360px), however it seems that now after the update, that the settings for margins, padding etc. set for 768px kick-in at 1024px causing settings which should take effect at 768px to kick-in at 1024px. This is a major issue because in the preview, when designing, at tablet size I see a section with 2 columns at 50/50 as single columns, so I remove and alter margins etc. yet at the front end these settings take effect at 1024px but the columns are still side by side resulting in zero space and broken designs.

How can I get around this issue please – can I overwrite your settings somehow as this simply can’t work designing at 768px single column, but yet those are applied to 1024px 2 columns.

    Many thanks

  • Using the inspector in various browsers I note that tablet settings are not overruled by the mobile settings – even though they are there. I believe whatever is causing this issue is the root of the problem. This only happened on the last update of the plugin.

Hi – unfortunately the reply on the other post really doesn’t answer my question I’m afraid. My question is:

Editor shows desktop, tablet and mobile

Front end has Desktop, Tablet 1024, tablet 767 and mobile

Designing a page for a tablet view in the Elementor interface everything looks fine. Go to front end and the breakpoints you are calling are at incorrect times resulting in broken layouts that do not match that seen from within the editor.
