Support » Plugin: TablePress » Tablespress not display tables with latest wordpress update

    I believe it was the latest wordpress update that caused this error. On the page I can see elements of the table like the search bar and filter list. But the actually table is blank and displays nothing? I am using visual composer but have updated to the latest version. Any help would be greatly appreciated awesome plug-in !

  • I was about ready to post this same thing; I just updated to the latest WP version tonight. My page is showing only the shortcode but no table. I have deactivated all other plugins but that did not solve the problem. I also tried the TablePress Extension: Change Table Shortcode plugin as well, but that didn’t work either. My table is at the bottom of this page: http://www.abundantmoments.com/photography-locations-around-kansas-city/

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    jordanmulkey: Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    stargazrjc: Please turn off that Extension again and change the Shortcode to `[table id=1 /]
    `
    again. Please also try with a WordPress default theme like Twenty Sixteen.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks fo the link! I don’t know why, but for some reason your theme is hiding ALL tables on the page… To override that for TablePress, please add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress {
    	display: table!important;
    }

    Tobias

    Awesome worked like a charm

    thanks for quick response and solution

    Hi Tobias,

    I recently, (about 2 weeks ago) updated to the latest version of WordPress, and now I have the same problem as stated above. i.e. The table name and the ID number showing but no table. I saw this thread and tried your fix of adding the code above to the “Custom CSS” text area on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress as suggested and saved the change.

    However it does not seemed to have worked, I have tried it in both Chrome and Firefox to no avail.

    Please do you have any idea what may be going wrong?

    Many thanks.
