tables return as exploded html after save

  • I have wp-markdown 1.4.

    Here is the content of my table:

    | Time | Title | Speaker | OSLC Credentials[^1] |
    | —- | —– | ——- | ——————– |
    | 09:15 – 10:15 | Open Services for Life Cycle Collaboration (OSLC) | [Parham Vasaiely][2] | [OSLC UG for Communications][3] lead; member of the [OSLC Architecture Management WG][4]; PM on several OSLC-related projects at [EADS][5]; participant and contributor to several [ARTEMIS-JU][6] interoperability projects |
    | 10:30 – 11:15 | OSLC – How it works | [Axel Reichwein][7] | member of the [OSLC Architecture Management WG][8]; OSLC implementer at [Koneksys][9]; Co-Chair of both the OMG [OSLC4MBSE WG][10] and the [INCOSE TII WG][11] |
    | 11:15 – 12:00 | OSLC Adapter Example for TeamCenter | [Mike Loeffler][12] | co-lead of the [OSLS ALM-PLM Interoperability WG][13]; member of the [OSLC Configuration Management WG][14] and [OSLC Core WG][15]; implementer of the OSLC adapter example for [Siemens TeamCenter][16] that he’s demonstrating; [OSLC webcast presenter][17] on the same |
    | 13:15 – 13:45 | OSLC4MBSE Planning Discussion | All | – |

    When I press the preview button, it comes out correctly.
    If I save the draft, it returns as html. Worse, when I preview that, I end up with a post with a bunch of highlighted html code instead of my table.

    The same thing happens even if I pull out the footnote ([^1]).

    @stephenharris

    Yup I can confirm this issue. It’s an issue with the HTML -> MarkDown converter (markdownify). I’ll look into fixing this.
