table’s properties not working

It’s just a pure html page.

All I want is to give some cellspacing to the table and hide its border, which I did:

<table class=” aligncenter” border=”0″ cellspacing=”10″>

In Firebug I tried adding padding-right: 20px; to <td>, doesn’t work.
