Support » Fixing WordPress » Tables in Posts

  • Hope someone might be able to assist with the following.

I am trying to put a table in a Post and for some reason it ends up at the bottom of the page. Below is the Post so that you can see what I am talking about.

If you scroll to the very bottom you will see the table.

If anyone can give some advice on how to correct this it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You’ve got a world of HTML errors in there. Try getting the page to come close to validation and it might help the table display.

    Hi ColdForged,

Thanks for your help and the link, I will work through the errors and see if that fixes the problem.

Well by all means do your validation stuff but that is not it. There is very serious instability in your CSS positioning, in particular you float the sidebar but I do not think I see any clearer div. Plus there has been fancy hacking and my guess would be that the math miscombulated. It doesnt take much to throw it out. A border for example can cause it.

    Thanks Root,

When you say a “border”, is that in the CSS?

I am a newbie to HTML.

    Thanks for your assistance

Well it may not be a border – that was an example. Your menu is first in the source order. The content however feels it hasnt got enough width so it drops down. Because of the hacks it is difficult to read but this problem is about width If you add colored borders with #content {border : 1px solid red;} in your CSS you might see it.

    Thanks Root,

I will attempt to put it in and see what happens.

    Thanks for your assistance
