TablePress knocks out jQuery below it | WordPress.org

I have a TablePress table on this page, and everything using jQuery below it has been knocked out. If I remove the table, it all works fine. This is most noticeable on the slick slider at the bottom of the page. Has anyone else experienced this, and what is the solution?

It looks like jQuery is being pulled in multiple times on the page, but only on pages with a TablePress table. I have tried the latest version of TablePress and the previous version, but it’s like it on both. WP is the latest version.

Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

That’s because your theme loads its own copy of jQuery from its themes folder (at https://www.iapb.org/wp-content/themes/iapb/assets/js/vendor/jquery-3.7.1.min.js), instead of using the copy of jQuery that ships with WordPress (and that should be used, and for themes on wordpress.org actually is required).

Therefore, please reach out to the theme developers and ask them to change this in their code.
