• Unfortunately the plugin is useless in nowadays where responsiveness is such important: tables with TablePress are not responsive.

    Hi,

thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the trouble.

Responsiveness for tables is a very tricky issue, due to how tables work in the browser. It’s also highly dependent on the theme.
So, it’s not that TablePress tables are not responsive, but all HTML tables are not responsive (by default).

However, there are some approaches that work quite nice for data tables, and I have made one available as a TablePress Extension at https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/
Another idea is to only add horizontal scrolling without the flipping, e.g. via https://wordpress.org/support/topic/responsive-tables-scroll-only?replies=6#post-5511954

Does that maybe help? If not, please let me know, and please also send a link to the page with your table, so that I can take a direct look and maybe make other suggestions.

    Thanks!
    Tobias

    Hi,
just to put my 2 cents: I was worried like you that my website wouldnt work on mobiles with all my big tables in it, indeed they were too big to be displayed on tablets and it was even worse on mobiles.

I thought there was nothing to do but I found Tobias extension here https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

I am using the the collapse mode and it is working perfectly on mobile now.

This is the shortcode I am using:

    [table id=1 responsive=collapse responsive_breakpoint=all /]

Tablepress without the extension is not responsive, but this extension is free and it is a part of the tablepress plugin
