Support » Plugin: TablePress » Tablepress causes issues with LayerSlider

  • Resolved dtaweb

    (@dtaweb)

This site uses the Enfold theme with a valid activated license for both the theme and the LayerSlider plugin. Recently, the slider plugin stopped displaying at the top of our pages (the linked page is one sample). When I look at the console to see what JS errors are thrown, I see an error related to datatables.

    TypeError: c is undefined
    jquery.datatables.min.js:93:361

When I deactivate TablePress, the LayerSlider slider shows and no errors are thrown in the console window. When I reactivate TablePress, the error is thrown and the slider content does not render.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The cause for this is the use of the advanced JavaScript features in TablePress, on tables that have merged/combined cells. This is not supported at this time.
To fix all this, please go to the “Edit” screens of the tables on the page from your link and uncheck the “Use DataTables” checkbox.

    Regards,
    Tobias

I can confirm that unchecking the DataTables option fixed the LayerSlider rendering issue on the 3 sites with the Enfold Theme. Thank you for the prompt response.
