    Hi there

We have two databases which are linked to the main home page of our website. These were both set up with TablePress as a plug-in.

I am trying to give access to 2 people so that they can only access and update the information in each of the Tables – either physical or visually impaired. I have changed their role to AUTHOR for each page.

What else do I need to do?

Do I also need to give them access to the admin section for the whole site so they can access TablePress for editing, deleting, uploading each database? If I need to set them up as an admin can I restrict access to the plug-in and page only?

    Any help appreciated

    Cheers
    Kiri

    Hi @auntienette333,

    Thanks for your question!

Giving table editing access to other users does indeed require that they have a WordPress login on the site, so that they can access the admin area. They would indeed need (at least) the “Author” user role (which is different to being the “Author” of a post or page!).

If you then want to fine-tune the access, and only allow them access to a single table, you could check out the “Advanced Access Rights” feature module, see https://tablepress.org/modules/advanced-access-rights/, which is available in the TablePress Max license plan.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
