Tableless Admin Theme

  • The admin panel doesn’t use the same “Themes” setup as the rest of the frontend.

    I know that (I allready installed the “The Tiger Admin Theme”). I’m looking for a 100% tableless solution for the backend. If you have a look to let’s say “wp-admin/plugins.php” you will find a table-structure:
    <table class=”widefat plugins”>
    <thead>
    <tr> etc… etc…
    Is there a elegant way to avoid this table-structure ?

    But using tables to display tabular data or a list is valid XHTML and very practical, the W3C recommends the use of tables only to display tabular data or what WP is doing, so there is nothing wrong with that.

    There is no way to have a “tableless” admin, all admin plugins just use a different stylesheet with added icons possibly, there is no change in templates.
