Table Press no longer linking to embedded PDF documents. I took an email from outlook. Converted it to PDF format and then uploaded it into Table Press. The first records worked fine.. but the 2nd record does not UPLOAD any files to wp-content/wpforms directory – like the 1st record did. When I try to click on embedded doc – I get an Error 404 – page doesn’t exist.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m a bit confused here. Not only do you mention a “wp-content/wpforms” directory (whereas the question is about TablePress and not WP Forms), but also I can’t find any links to PDFs in the one table that I can find on the site (the “Board of Directors”). Can you maybe guide me to where I can see the table which has that problem with the links?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Tobias:

You are always so quick to reply. Thank you.

    Here’s the path:

    URL: Admin – Scholarship Applicants – 2023 (tallclubfoundation.org)

    Password: Foundation2017%

If you click on the link for Julia Case – and drill down into the pdf attachments – they will all open

However, if you click on the link for Brooke Misner – and try to drill down into the pdf attachments – this is when you get a 404 Error that the pdf documents don’t exist.

Both file where an outlook document – with a save as ‘Adobe pdf’ – and then uploaded to the tablepress table as an image.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

    thanks for the clarification!

First: Even though it’s “just” a post password, please change that password now – these forums are public so that other people could now use this to open that page and access that information!

Now, from what I can see, the PDF file that is linked to in the table (the PDF that you got from Outlook) is totally fine. Those links to the other (uploaded) PDF files that are inside your PDF file are however not at all governed by TablePress. These are apparently uploaded via WP Forms, so something must either not have worked there, or the URLs are wrong. I recommend that you check on the server (via FTP) in the wp-content/wpforms directory whether you can find the PDFs there. The links in your PDF would then need to be corrected, but that’s nothing that can be done in TablePress.

    Regards,
    Tobias
