    Hi James,
Thank you for posting here. This question has come up, but rather than dig it out, the simple answer is to check your WP Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading and see if the “Blog Pages show at most” setting is 5.
    Let me know.

“Blog pages show at most” is set to 10.

    James,
Thanks. The link and image were helpful. BTW, the page (and the whole site) looks great by the way, nice job on the styles.

First double check that all the players are published in the DB and assigned to the correct team. (It’s often the simple stuff.)

Second, make sure you are up to date with WordPress and PHP versions as well as the plugin version. (I doubt that that’s the problem here, but it’s a good idea anyway.)

Next, turn on debug in WordPress (if you haven’t done that before, here’s a link https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ and see what you find in your /wp-content/debug.log file.

Let me know. We’ll figure it out.

PHP version needs to be updated but everything else seems to be working fine. I’m not clear as to how to debug. Is there a plug-in you recommend for that?

Okay. It’s possible it’s a PHP thang, but probably not because the code is so old. It will show up in the debug log.

If you read the link I sent, debug is very easy in WP. Just change a couple of lines in the site’s wp-config.php file. (Keep a backup, you can hose the site with errors in that file. But again, the changes are very simple – comment out a line, paste in a few others. Works the same on all sites, not special to be done for your site.) I recommend setting it up NOT to display on the screen but to write to the debug.log file.

This is working all over the world, including my two test sites, so I have to believe this is something with your site configuration.

I’m ass-u-me’ing everything looks fine on the admin page … you can see all the players, etc. What might be informative is to change the roster’s display to list the players by name, not number. What’s different when you do that? You can also add players, a couple at a time, to a new team. (Yes, a player can be assigned to multiple teams.) Does it just stop at 5 players?

    -Mark

Yes, it’s a hard stop at 5 players. If I un-assign the first player from my team roster it’ll just list 2 through 6.

Have you tried a new team, just for grins?

    Yes, I have. Perhaps should I un-install and re-install?

You can try that (you shouldn’t lose any data), but I don’t think it will help. I think you should set up WP debug because it is something with your WP or site config. I will be surprised if there are not some warnings or notices there. I suspect it is something simple in the config, but I can’t put my finger on it.

You might also try to display a player gallery using another shortcode. There are actually two ways to display player galleries, one via shortcode, one via standard WP capabilities. Try the shortcode first.

    Everything looks fine in admin?

    -Mark

Same thing happens trying to display a player gallery. I’ll keep you posted.

Problem solved within the theme editor. Thanks!
