[Resolved] table border trouble

    @mdalley

    I got this from the FAQ and copied it into the custom CSS area.
    .tablepress-id-2,
    .tablepress-id-2 tr,
    .tablepress-id-2 tbody td,
    .tablepress-id-2 thead th,
    .tablepress-id-2 tfoot th {
    border: none;
    }

    but my table still has borders. What am I doing wrong? The page is http://hannaheadlight.com/town-office/ I will take off the Under Construction plugin temporarily in case you need to look at the site. I don’t want to take borders off all tables because I have one set up that I want the borders. Thank you so much.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The reason for this is that your theme contains CSS code that adds borders to each table, and it does that with a very high CSS priority. We’ll therefore need to be more strict with our code to remove the border, i.e. add the !important keyword as in

    .tablepress-id-2,
    .tablepress-id-2 tr,
    .tablepress-id-2 tbody td,
    .tablepress-id-2 thead th,
    .tablepress-id-2 tfoot th {
      border: none !important;
    }

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    sure, no problem! 🙂
    Great to hear that this worked so nicely!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
