tab shortcode categories

  • I’m working on a theme that uses tabs to create the second navigation bar
    http://candiered.com

The code is inserted in a widget in content area 1. I want to be able to pull a specific category so that the posts from that particular category will show up under the tab title. The code that is inserted right now is:

[tabs tab1=”Music Mixx: Is it Worth Your Money?” tab2=”Shoe Fetish” tab3=”Medical Mayhem-Stuff U Should Know” ]
    [tab1][recent_posts num=”4″ type=”post” meta=”true” thumb=”true” thumb_size=”small-post-thumbnail” more_text_single=”Read more” excerpt_count=”10″ custom_class=”posts” more_link=”blog” more_text=”See all topics”][/tab1]
    [tab2][recent_posts num=”4″ type=”post” meta=”true” thumb=”true” thumb_size=”small-post-thumbnail” more_text_single=”Read more” excerpt_count=”10″ custom_class=”posts” more_link=”blog” more_text=”See all topics”][/tab2]
    [tab3][recent_posts num=”4″ type=”post” meta=”true” thumb=”true” thumb_size=”small-post-thumbnail” more_text_single=”Read more” excerpt_count=”10″ custom_class=”posts” more_link=”blog” more_text=”See all topics”][/tab3]
    [/tabs]

Is there a way to do this? The theme has a footer navigation and for some reason the 2nd navigation bar is not included in Appearance – Menu
