    I have noticed a lot of sign-on attempts today with the user name, system32.
    I use the News theme. Has anyone else seen this?

    If you’re sure it’s just being supplied as the WordPress username, it’s probably just scripted attempts to brute force the login by trying random usernames and passwords from a predefined list generated by the script.

    Are you seeing those failed login attempts in the logs provided by brute force protection of a specific WordPress security plugin?
