Hello,
The only reason for that to happen is if the DB info still isn’t correct.
one thing i didn’t hear yet is if you verified the DB Prefix (also important).
Remember the db it requires is the osticket DB (not WP db settings).
If all of that is set correct it should work no problem.
Regards,
Marco
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I had the prefix as osx_ I changed it to osxi_ but it didn’t fix it. I copied & pasted settings from ost-config.php
I had tried to use it before your last release, but osTicket was already v1.9.11 and plugin didn’t support it yet. So I uninstalled plugin and reinstalled. No love.
Well _osxi i think is a cpanel install
the prefix is also in the ost-config.
If you want we can check your install out our selfs.
we did test & confirm all versions we support (new install + updated).
Ah, the DB password starts with ` I changed the DB password on DB, osTicket and in the plugin. It works now!
Thanks!
So the first problem I had was my osTicket version was too new to work with Key4CE osTicket Bridge plugin. A new version of plugin was released (thanks), so I updated it. Then next issue was I had ost_ table prefix, but the correct prefix was osti_ . The third issue I had was copying the password from the ost-config.php file. The password is in single quotes but my password started with a grave accent (back tick) character which looks exactly like a single quote. So I was copying and pasting the password but leaving off the first character.
Maybe there is a way the plugin could verify that the Data Config tab settings are correct.
Thanks for the help and quick response to my questions!
