# Syntax theme double up

 * I wonder if someone can help me. I’ve just started using the Syntax theme which
   is great however I can’t work out why the list of Archives, Recent Posts, Categories
   at the bottom of the main page comes up twice. I may be doing something wrong
   but I don’t know.
 * If you can scroll to the bottom of [http://www.50wordstories.co.uk](https://wordpress.org/www.50wordstories.co.uk?output_format=md)
   you will hopefully see what I mean.

 * I never tested this theme, but it seems that he supports 3 columns of widgets:
   “
   Widgets Syntax supports three columns of widgets in the site’s footer. Add some
   widgets by going to Appearance → Widgets.” ([https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/syntax/](https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/syntax/))
 * You should go to Appearance → Widgets and you probably have widgets on footer1
   and footer 2 section

 * Thanks! You are indeed right. However it doesn’t seem to let me disable the second
   column or change it. Strange. Any help would be appreciated.

 * Ok, sorry, I’ve managed to do it – wouldn’t let me change on the mobile version
   but have deleted second column on the webpage.

 * I’m not sure what you mean about not changing the widgets on the mobile version.
