Syntax Highlighting in WordPress HTML Editor?

    Hi,
    I always hate working in the build-in wordpress HTML editor because it has no syntax highlighting and using a standalone editor and then copy/paste into the wordpress editor is time consuming.

    Is there a plugin that adds syntax to the build-in editor?

    Due to a lack of responses I assume it is just not possible. You can pimp everything in WordPress but why isn’t this possible?!

    Something like this should work. But if you do a search of the plugin directory using “syntax highlighting template editor” you’ll probably find a couple more.

    I think the original post is asking about highlighting for the post editor.

    You may have more luck using Greasemonkey user scripts, since there doesn’t seem to be a demand for a plugin like this. (See also)
