 * It seems whenever WordPress updates, it creates this error all by itself:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/mizbern/public_html/wp-includes/
   l10n.php on line 885
 * Always in the includes folder, but the line and file varies.
 * Can’t log in to admin or view the site itself. Any idea why this would keep happening?

 * Thanks!

 * Try changing to the default WordPress theme, updating and then switching back.
   Does that resolve your issue?

 * I hope you have a backup of your site.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/mizbern/public_html/wp-includes/
   l10n.php on line 885
 * The key word is wp-includes: that’s the folder that has been affected. Use FTP
   to get on your site server, navigate to public html, and replace the include
   folder with your backup. If your message points to a different folder, replace
   that one.
 * It’s not worth monkeying with the file at the end of the list. Fix that, and
   another one magically breaks. I assume this is a WordPress bug, because it keeps
   happening to me.
 * Good luck,
 * Clueless

 * [@clueless_user](https://wordpress.org/support/users/clueless_user/), may I ask
   what was on the line with the error? If you’re certain those files were never
   changed then it could potentially be a hack.

 * Andrew, not being an HTML person, I wouldn’t know what the error was. It may
   well be a hack: this is the second time it has happened in three months. Always
   something with the includes folder. Seems I should check the site every day.
   If I find this kind of error again, maybe I should send you the line in question.
 * Thanks for the suggestion.
 * Clueless
