 * I try to log onto my wordpress and I get this error message:
    Parse error: syntax
   error, unexpected ‘=’, expecting ‘)’ in /home/content/v/e/n/venetianware/html/
   wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-includes/category.functions.php on line
   238.
 * I was updating plugins when this happened. What can I do to fix it..PLEASE?

 * Re-upload a fresh copy of the wp-e-commerce plugin to the wp-content/plugins
   folder using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.

 * Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, I cannot even log into my host. My host
   is wordpress and when I go to the log-in page the same error message already
   pops up. Any other suggestions?
 * THank you Esmi

 * Your host is **not **WordPress. You cannot use plugins on a wordpress.com site.
   You need to find out who your hosts are.

 * My host is godaddy.com. I called them and we figured our that WP 3.1.2 (the version
   that I upgrated to) does not support plug in WP e-commerce3.8.3. Is there any
   way that I can revert to the old WP version or does anyone know about a newer
   WP e-commerce plug in that is compatible?
 * thank you

 * I’m pretty sure that the latest version of WP-Ecommerce is compatible with WP
   3.1.2

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If
   this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic
   plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
