  • I was making some quick changes to my index.php and CSS using WP’s online editor and really missed syntax colour. That got me thinking, would it be possible to introduce syntax colours?

  • hmmmm… well you could do it through CSS, but I am unsure how that would work out, for live stuff. I mean you could save your changes and then reload the page and see the coloring, but probably not while you were doing it; unless of course you modded my plugin for live preview and used that…
I will look into it. No promises though.

There is a MT plugin to beautify the code. A two pane layout would be an interesting solution to this:
    | Editor using a smallish monotype font | Live Preview w/ colour |
This is just an idea that would be a very cool.

Yes, there are some editors out there that are potentially useful for this, but it’s no small undertaking.
It also would likely require java, or heavy javascript, or such as it needs to be ‘live’ editing technology.
