    official page says that syntax is
 * [facebook_events col=»2″ posts_per_page=»12″ category=»cat1,cat2″ past_events
   =»yes» order=»desc» orderby=»post_title» start_date=»2017-12-25″ end_date=»2018-
   12-25″ ]
 * so some value are separated by »″ characters, some other are by »».
    I found 
   that double »» in a correct value for at least category syntax
 * I wish developer whould use a more common syntax with “” characters

 * Please use doublequote everywhere in sort-code. It should work fine.
 * like the below example.
 * `[facebook_events col="2" posts_per_page="12" category="cat1,cat2" past_events
   ="yes"]`
