sympoll on sidebar

Hi,

I use sympoll (a php poll) on my web site. Now i want it to put it on the sidebar, but there it does’t work.
Normally i put this code indo my index.php

<?php require ‘/sympoll/booth.php’;
newest_booth();?>

But if i put it into the sidebar, it does not work.
