  • A few hours ago my blog inserted two symbols in every post on the blog (Â and €™) the second is added for the apostrphe.
I didn’t do anything to change the code. Any ideas why this happened? I’ve looked around in some other forums and have read that using old plugins not recognized by WordPress can create this. • I don’t see these characters (well, in my case just Â) *unless* I switch my browser to ISO-8859-1 (Latin 1) encoding. In the default utf-8 (which your pages are set to), they look fine. So it’s certainly an encoding mismatch going on.

I do notice that at each of the  locations in your text, the non-breaking space character entity ( ) appears. In fact, they show up a *lot*. Any reason why these would be peppered throughout your posts?

Today, when I was writing a post the code and visual sections became confused, so that when I’d try to look at the code it would appear as the visual and vice-versa. When I tried to save I got the “the changes you have made will be lost if you…”
AND, now it’s reinserted NEW symbols throughout my posts… a box placeholder looking thing. This was after I went through all my old posts and deleted the other symbols.
    What is going on??
