  • Hello, I currently have Shareaholic installed on my site. If I change to Social Warfare, will I lose my social sharing count?
    Thank you,

  • @inkdrops it would break our heart to see you leave! If you’re facing issues with Shareaholic (need it to do something that it isn’t, performance tuning, or anything else), please do reach out! We would love to keep you in the family and do whatever is in our power to help make it right —

To be honest, I love the Shareaholic plugins but there are a couple of reasons why I was considering switching over to Social Warfare. If you could help me resolve these issues I would not need to change

1- I cannot display the number of shares on the floating sidebar. For example, this post, has over 700 shares. I would like to show it on the sidebar so readers can see it as soon as they get to the page.

2- How can I get rid of that one ad that seems to appear at the end of the post with my other ‘you may also like’ posts? Is there any particular reason why it comes up?

    Thank you for helping out

Hey Diana, I took care of both items for you. Let me know what you think / need any additional tweaks! For (1), you also have the option to display share counts for each individual button, in-case you would prefer that vs. the total.

ps – in your Shareaholic settings in WordPress, click on the “Shareaholic Dashboard” button. This will take you to where you can configure dozens of additional settings, view analytics, etc!

btw, Shareaholic plugin also features Share Buttons for Images (ex. Pinterest). You could cut down one plugin by enabling this Shareaholic feature on your site 🙂 —

    That’s awesome!
Thank you so much for your quick response and all of those tips. I definitely need to spend more time exploring the features of this plugin. You have a well-deserved 5-star review coming your way for the prompt help and the many outstanding features of the plug-in.
Looks like I won’t be switching over to another plugin after all 🙂
    Thanks again.
