Switching to default theme to troubleshoot

    I’ve got a weird issue where basic tab short code stopped working when I upgraded to WP 4.3.1

    Here my test: http://packardga.com/?page_id=386 and the code:

[tab title="First Tab"]
PeterPiper picked peppers

[tab title="Second Tab"]
Sally sells seashels by the seashore
[/tab]
[/tabs]

    My question is, can I switch to the default theme, see if the problem persits, and then switch back without loosing my current theme’s settings and customization?
