Switching off Responsive(mobile site) in twenty twelve

  • Hi all,
I want to switch off mobile site/Responsive in twenty twelve. I’ve gone through many threads about removing the code of responsive. But i can’t find a single thread about this issue. I guess, there is no code related to responsive. Can anyone guide me to achieve this?

You can’t really switch off responsive on twenty twelve per se. What 2012 does is actually use media queries to display the content accordingly taking a mobile first approach meaning that it is first styled for mobile screens and then styles are overridden as the screen’s width gets bigger. 🙂

May I ask why you don’t want that? Just curious.

@jose: Thank yu for reply brother.. Oh okey.
It an corporate site and i want to show that site as a blog. Also i’ve used Easy-colum plugin for grid like style in every page. So, the alignment is not coming correctly. Thats it. Any ideas or suggested theme for corporate site?

Not to sound like a broken record but you can try looking in the theme repo using the tag filter. Most themes now all are heading towards the ‘responsive’ area.

I like to create my own themes when needed/required. But that’s a whole nother issue. 😉
