Switching Languages (2 posts)

So far I have managed to place two flags onto my menu - English and Deutsch. The content is currently all in English but when I click Deutsch nothing changes. Before Polylang I had Google Language Translator installed - selecting Deutsch would change all the content in one swoop, the downfall however the dropdown language selection looked ugly in my menu.

Does Polylang fundamentally work the same as Google Translate - can I select Deutsch and the whole site content changes without me having to re-write articles, posts, menus manually in a different language? If so where am I going wrong?

    Permalink Settings: Post name
Below are the boxes I have selected

  2. When the front page is visited, set the language according to the browser preference
The language is set from content. Posts, pages, categories and tags urls are not modified.
Keep /language/ in pretty permalinks. Example: http://www.thystride.com/language/en/
Hide URL language information for default language
Activate languages and translations for media
    All Synchronization boxes

As explained in the description, Polylang does not integrate automatic translation.
Consider, reading http://codex.wordpress.org/Multilingual_WordPress to find the plugin which will fit your needs
