Switching Index.php From WordPress folder to root (5 posts)

    Hey all!
I'm working on a blog for my employer and was having difficulties setting up the WordPress files in the root folder, so I ended up keeping them in the WordPress folder (that they extract into).

My issue... I really want the Index.php to be in my root folder. So, when people go to http://www.weidnernightlife.com they hit the blog page immediately.

Now..I was able to do this a couple months ago with my personal blog site at http://www.jbergdesign.com. But, my brain is a bit feeble right now and I can't remember how to get it 'switched'.

Can someone give me a little input?

Right now the blog is in http://www.weidnernightlife.com/wordpress

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

not 100% sure if this'll work, but I think you can go into your options in the control panel, and set the link to where you want your blog to be linked to. Your wordpress address will be http://www.weidnernightlife.com/wordpress, while your blog address will just be http://www.weidnernightlife.com

    I think this should work.

On this page click (in the top horizontal menu) > DOCS > Installation (on the right) > Have WordPress files and blog in different directories.

Thanks for the input everyone. Actually, as soon as I submitted this post, I found the answer here: http://wordpress.org/docs/installation/different-address/

    So far, so good.
