Switching from Dreamweaver to WordPress

  • Hi all,

I am new to building websites so bear with me please. Recently, I decided to build a website with a template I found online using DreamWeaver. Being someone who has little experience building sites, I found DreamWeaver hard to use so I have now decided to switch over to using WordPress for its simplicity. However, whenever I upload new pages/blogs on WordPress, I still get the same old template show up when I visit my website. How do I go about disabling the stuff I did in DreamWeaver and switch to using just WordPress to upload content onto my site? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Try deleting your old Deameweaver .html files on the remote server.

    Hi all,

We want to change our website. We want to keep the current current design as much as possible, but want to move it from Dreamweaver to WordPress version, and to copy all contents to the new version. We are happy to look into one of the WordPress templates that could be adapted to our design in the best way possible.

    I think this will mean:
-Creation of content management system in WordPress (I am sure we will be able to use one of the templates they have)
-Layout for pages of site (currently 14 pages, and we would probably add 2-3 more)
    -Creation of 4 forms
    -Social networking links

Is there someone you could recommend us?

    we are base in London.
    THANKS
