 * Hi all
 * I’m hoping someone can help.
 * I have taken over a website created by someone else, and they used multiple environments:
   development, staging and production.
 * I entered in all the relevant information – such as database name, username,
   password, host etc .. but I wasn’t able to connect.
 * I used the code from here:
    [http://www.paulund.co.uk/multi-environment-wordpress-wp-config-php](http://www.paulund.co.uk/multi-environment-wordpress-wp-config-php)
 * and I was able to connect and got the website up without any problems… (although
   on my local one I’m getting errors!)
 * But my question for now is how do I switch from environments?
    Has any one done
   something similar to this?
 * Many thanks

 * Here is an article with the steps I use to copy from a development environment
   to production (or vice versa): [http://wordpress.mcdspot.com/2012/08/22/migrating-a-wordpress-site-step-by-step/](http://wordpress.mcdspot.com/2012/08/22/migrating-a-wordpress-site-step-by-step/)
