Switching between twenty ten and twentyeleven

    Hi My active theme is twentyten child. I have Twenty Ten 1.3 and Twenty Eleven 1.2 (yes I know this needs an update) as available themes and I would like to switch to TwentyEleven to try it out but I am worried about my child theme. What happens in relation to all the files you have set up for your child theme? Are they overwritten?

    The TwentyEleven theme is a completely different theme – it has a different name, so it does not affect the TwentyTen theme in any way. You can have both installed on your WordPress installation and can easily switch between them using the Appearance-Themes page.
