    Hello @techpod

Thank you very much for reaching out to us 🙂

I think your theme or any other plugin from your website has changed the default behavior of the anchor tags throughout your whole website.

It would be great if you create a ticket on our support website. Our support team will assist you with that.

    Hi

I reached out to the team and they said the issue was a conflict with the OceanWP theme and that they would be pushing an update to fix it. No update has come through and I cant log into your website to followup on the ticket. follow link for screenshot

    Hello @techpod

Thanks a lot for your response.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

After investigating our plugin for a considerable amount of time we have found that the issue regarding the scroll top is not coming from our plugin.

It seems to be a bug from the Ocean WP theme that is changing the behavior of all the “href” attributes.

The bug has been found in the versions after 3.0.0

If you have some technical knowledge you may look at the following screenshot where the Ocean WP theme is triggering the scroll functionality for all anchor tags that have href=”#something” which is not ideal.

You can try switching to another theme to make sure that the theme is causing the issue. Moreover, we are afraid that the bug doesn’t only arise in our plugin but also in several other plugins. Hence, the theme developer should address that bug as soon as possible.

Please contact the theme author to fix the bug.

We’ll get in touch with them as well to inform them in this regard so that they quickly solve the issue.

    Kindest regards,
    Tarek

    Hi Tarek,

It has taken me a bit of time to get to someone in OceanWP who can help. They have asked if you would mind getting someone in your Dev team to contact them so they can discuss the issue in more detail.

    Hi guys,

I just spoke to OceanWP and they have asked if you could reach out to one of their dev team to help support with the fix

    Hi @techpod

    Hope you are doing great!

We are extremely sorry for the late response. Actually, we reached out to their dev team about a couple of months ago and they said that they will take a look into this issue to figure out the reason why such issues happened.

We haven’t heard from them since then.

    Best regards,
    Support Team
