Switched Servers – Speeds Slow and Scheduled Posts Not Publishing

    Greetings,

    Our site was getting enough traffic that we had to move to a VPS as opposed to a shared option. The host did the move for us and everything appears the same but I have had two major problems since the change 3 days ago.

    1) The site speed is slow. Front side is a bit slower but the admin side is painfully slow. Ran a diagnosis on the front end and it’s coming back with a D rating.

    2) I live off of scheduling posts. Can’t commit to routinely getting these up. Since the move all scheduled posts have missed their time to publish. I’ll go in and Quick Edit and Publish and they’ll post like nothing went wrong. I’ve tried a few different things (including uninstalling certain plugins and have now just downloaded WP Missed Schedule.

    Basically, looking for any advice or suggestions as well as recommended fixes based on experience. URL is http://www.project-nerd.com

    The site is at a turning point and traffic is crazy right now, don’t want to mess it up (especially since my hosting is more expensive now).
