Support » Fixing WordPress » Switch between visual and text editor not working

  • The newest version of WP is installed and I for whatever reason that I can’t switch between the default visual editor and the text editor. I’ve tried de-activating the plugins as recommended in other threads and flushing my internet cache but nothing works. I’m working on this site for a client and need to fix this ASAP. Does anyone know what’s going on?

I can’t switch between the default visual editor and the text editor.

I have same version but NO such issue.

Which suggests me there may be some plugins/theme etc., conflict in your installation.

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Also, any op cache or content network cache, as well as Cloudflare, clear those caches.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    – if the Above steps do not help, then your browser may help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page? – This article can assist you in doing that diagnosis.

    – if still no joy, try Enabling debugging and post the results.
